Kids Kicking Cancer was founded in Michigan, and we have a rich program offered in the Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw areas.  There’s classes offered in all of these locations, and we offer specialized hospital, and other one-on-one visits in these areas as well.  Additionally, there are many fun family support outings included for the children and their families.

Michigan is host to a special Little Heroes class offered for children as young as two years old.  Little Heroes classes empower young children and parents/caregivers through instruction in martial arts and pain management techniques, including breathing meditation and guided imagery. The curriculum allows martial arts and pain management practices to be taught to very young children through developmentally appropriate games and activities. For example, children use ‘pinwheels’ to demonstrate the power of their breath. In addition, the curriculum includes components which enable parents and caregivers to benefit from networking, social support and specialized meditation and relaxation techniques.

Any questions regarding the program, or just for more information, can be directed to Cindy, our Program Director, at cindy@kidskickingcancer.org or via phone at (248) 864-8238.

Transportation is available to and from classes and outings in some areas.  Please contact us for more information.
